Hello World

Written on 29 June 2026. Since then Harthing has been recognised by HMRC for Making Tax Digital quarterly updates and the product has launched.

It has been over a month since our last update, so a quick note on where we are, and what we've been up to.

Neil and the team have been heads-down on code. We are roughly halfway through a substantial round of backend and UI improvements, and if you have been using the platform recently you will have seen some of them already. If you have not, this is a good moment to log in (or create an account) and have a look around.

A few specifics worth flagging.

MTD

We are waiting on final HMRC recognition. There is a delay at their end driven by the wider Making Tax Digital rollout, but we expect to be through it before full launch.

Open Banking

We have selected a partner, Yapily. When the full app goes live, you will be able to bring transactions directly into the Accountability Record rather than entering them by hand.

Timing

We will take a decision on the full launch date in mid-July, and we will write again then with the details.

To everyone who has used the beta and sent us feedback: thank you. We have had some genuinely useful ideas, a number of which are now in the dev pipeline. The product is better for it.
